CLINICAL EXPERIENCE

- February 1994 - March 1995 : Primary care Physician in the Health Center of Agia in the perfecture of Larisa Thessalia ( one year compulsory service in medical stations in rural Greece).Primary care duties for a population of 10,000 people, physical examinatrion- dianosis and treatment, preventive medicine and hygiene, casualty department six times a month including transport to secondaey care General Hospital in Larisa when needed.

- March 1995- March 1997 : Full time internal medicine resident in the Pathologic Clinic of General Hospital of Komotini, Thrace " Sismanoglion " in a 50 patient ward. Activities ? medical care and treatment of various problems including all the spectrum of internal medicine. Emergency duties 6 times a month. This post approved by the Greek Ministry of Health, Care and Social Secure is a part of the Rheumatologic Residency program.

- June1997- January 1998 : Military service as a General Doctor in Alexandroupoli, Thrace. Activities? Responsible for the recovery unit of a brigade (total force of 1500 soldiers and officers). Primary care duties for a population of 400 soldiers and officers, preventive medicine and hygiene, casualty department 6 times a month.

- January 1998 - March 1998 : Military service as a General Doctor in Internal Medicine Department in 404 Military Hospital in Larisa, Thessalia. Medical care and treatment of various problems including all the spectrum of internal medicine, daily patient examination , Accident and Emergency duties 6 times a month.

- November 1998 - November 2002 : Rheumatology Resident in " EVANGELISMOS " General Hospital of Athens. Rheumatology Clinic has 15 patients ward. Medical care and treatment of various rheumatological problems including systemic connective tissue diseases, regional rheumatic problems , metabolic bone diseases, infectious arthritides. Outpatient department 3 times a week (more than 6000 patient-visits a year). Emergency Department 3 times a month. Educational activities twice a week ( one included bibliographic information plus discussion of interesting cases and the other topic analysis of an issue either by a rheumatologist or by other specialist). Rheumatologic cosultations to other departments when needed. 4 months Immunology Laboratory where there was training to technices as ANA, RF, Serum protein electrophoresis, Complement , kryoglobulins, HLA, WBCs immunophenotype and PCR. 4 months in B' Orthopaedic Clinic of "EVANGELISMOS" where there was training to accident duties, medical care and treatment of inward and outward patients (especially those with already known rheumatological problems).4 months in Physical Medicine and Rehablitation Clinic in "Geniko Kratiko " General Hospital, Athens where there was training to rehabilitation not only to rheumatological problems (systematic and regional) but also to a diverse spectrum of conditions ( accidents, neurologic diseases e.t.c.)

These 4months posts are approved by the Greek Ministry of Health, Care and Social Secure as a part of the Rheumatologic Residency program.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATION

1. FOREIGN LANGUAGE : ENGLISH ( Certificate of Proficiency-Cambridge) with licence to teach
2. "Informatics and work organizing using Windows 2000, Microsoft Word- Excel- Power Point 2000 and Internet", total duration of 40 hours
3. "Osteoporosis", total duration of 60 hours from 29/5/00-15/6/00 , granted by the "Professional education center" of "EVANGELISMOS" Hospital.
4. Training to the interpretation of EMG-ENG study for three months under the supervision of dr. Panagopoulos consultant Neurologist, director of the EMG-ENG Laboratory in the Neurologic clinic of "Geniko Kratiko" General Hospital, Athens
5. I was appointed as clinical assistant for 3 months in the clinics of "Immunodeficiencies" under the supervision of Mrs Chrisovergy consultant of Internal Medicine
